Eiji Aonuma took on a reckless challenge: build a full Zelda game in barely a year by reusing Ocarina of Time's engine. The constraint gave birth to a dark masterpiece: three days looping over and over, an entire town running on timed routines, and masks that transform Link into a Goron, a Zora, and a Deku. It remains the only Zelda that required the Expansion Pak, needed to animate so much doomed life.
