Tetsuya Mizuguchi, fresh off the synesthetic experience of Rez, designed a puzzle game where music, light, and blocks pulse as one: every skin swaps the song, the palette, and even the speed of the line sweeping the board. It was a PSP launch title and its single best selling point. Mondo Grosso's "Shinin'" fused itself permanently into the memory of an entire generation of subway commuters.
